SnipMaker terms.
The terms for using SnipMaker and taking part in the beta and referral programme.
1. Beta licence
A verified beta participant receives a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence for up to three Windows devices. The licence is normally valid for 28 days from issue.
2. Beta availability
Beta places are limited and registration may close when the current allocation is filled.
3. Pre-release software
Beta software may contain defects and may change during testing. Keep appropriate copies of important work. Your Snip Library remains stored locally on your computer.
4. Licence checks and device use
SnipMaker contacts the licensing service to activate and validate a device. A beta licence may be active on up to three installations at a time. A fourth installation is refused until one existing device allocation is released. Increasing the device allowance does not restart or extend the beta expiry.
5. Beta participant offer
Send at least one honest feedback report through SnipMaker during your beta to receive 50% off the listed subscription price for your first paid year, using the same verified account.
This feedback condition applies to new beta allocations under version 2026-09-15.1 of these terms. Benefits already issued under earlier terms are honoured. Feedback can be a bug report, suggestion or an honest account of using the app; no positive review or public endorsement is required. Use the same verified account for your subscription. The discount applies to the first annual charge or up to 12 monthly subscription charges in the first paid year, not to indefinite renewals. It is calculated before any referral credit is applied.
6. Pricing
Current listed prices are: 1 device £1.99/month or £9.99/year; 3 devices £2.99/month or £14.99/year; and 5 devices £3.99/month or £19.99/year. The price shown at purchase is the price that applies.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass licence enforcement, abuse beta allocations, attack the service, interfere with other users or redistribute private licence credentials.
8. Your content
Your screenshots and annotations remain yours. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture, store and share material you process with the application.

Application updates
SnipMaker may check for a newer published version. You choose when to download and install it. Your local snips, preferences and licence are kept separately from application files, and open work is saved before an in-app update. Keep independent backups of important work. Updates do not extend or replace your licence entitlement.

11. Referral Programme — Refer & Earn
Terms version: 2026-09-15.1. Refer & Earn is optional. Accept these terms in the application before obtaining a referral code. You must have a verified SnipMaker account. Referral codes are not proof of entitlement to a licence and do not bypass device limits.
Your code and a new customer's account
Your referral code and link identify your account. A new customer must use the link or enter the code when first creating their account, then verify their email. The attribution is recorded against that account and cannot later be added to an existing account or moved to a different referrer. We do not collect friends' email addresses or send referral invitations. Share only where recommendations are welcome, with permission where required. Do not send unsolicited emails, texts or private messages, publish misleading offers, or post spam.
25% credit from genuine payments
You earn SnipMaker credit equal to 25% of eligible subscription money actually received and retained from the referred customer within the first 12 calendar months starting with their first paid subscription. We calculate each payment separately in pounds and pence, rounding to the nearest penny. Eligible revenue excludes tax, discounts, existing referral credit, free-year top-ups, refunded amounts and money not received. Beta registrations, failed payments and free subscriptions create no credit.
A monthly customer generates credit only when a monthly payment succeeds. If they cancel after one payment, that payment is the only source of credit. An annual payment generates credit once; another genuine qualifying payment within the same 12-month window may also count. An annual renewal on or after the window's end does not count. There is no permanent percentage discount.
Pending, available and expired credit
Credit is pending for 30 days after a qualifying payment and then becomes available, subject to fraud review. Available credit is applied to supported future SnipMaker subscription charges, oldest-expiring credit first. Credit expires 24 calendar months after it becomes available. It can accumulate across referrals but cannot be withdrawn as cash, transferred, sold, exchanged for gift cards or spent outside SnipMaker.
Refunds, reversals and cancellation
A refund reduces or cancels the related reward; a chargeback or fraudulent transaction cancels it. Before release, pending credit is cancelled. After release, the credit is reversed. If you already spent it, a negative referral balance offsets future referral earnings; this is not an instruction to charge your payment card. Partial refunds reduce the reward based on remaining eligible revenue. Subscription cancellation stops rewards from future payments but does not remove credit from genuine past payments that remain valid. Adjustments remain in the audit history.
Ten qualified referrals: your next year free
A referral qualifies after a genuine annual payment has remained valid without a refund for at least 30 days, or after three successful, non-refunded monthly subscription payments for distinct monthly billing periods. The customer's account must be verified and pass abuse checks. Ten qualified referrals earn one next 12-month period of your current SnipMaker plan free. Existing available referral credit contributes first and SnipMaker covers the remaining subscription cost. A beta user without a paid plan receives the benefit on the first supported paid plan they choose.
The covered plan is fixed when the benefit is earned (or at first paid-plan use for a beta user); upgrades and extra purchases are not included. The free period begins at the next eligible subscription charge and lasts 12 calendar months. The milestone is awarded once per account, not once per ten referrals and not for life. Refunds or fraud that invalidate qualification may place unused benefits under review. Subscription cancellations alone do not remove qualification already earned through genuine retained payments. Any future Ambassador programme would have separate terms and is not enabled here.
Fair use and review
You cannot refer yourself, claim an existing account as new, or create artificial/duplicate accounts to farm rewards. We may review shared payment identities, billing or device patterns and unusual account activity. An IP match alone does not reject a referral: households and businesses can share a connection. We may hold rewards for review, reject invalid referrals and reverse related credit, recording the reason. You may contact support to challenge a decision. Ordinary device or IP changes do not automatically revoke a genuine licence.
Visibility, support and changes
Your in-app dashboard shows referral counts, qualification progress and credit. It does not disclose a friend's email or payment details. During the free beta, attribution is available but no paid credit is earned until real subscription payments are accepted. We will publish material programme changes before they apply; genuine benefits already earned remain subject to the terms on which they were earned, including refund and anti-abuse rules.
